Manufacturing

We purchase 6 meter lengths of various uPVC profiles from our German supplier. Most windows and doors use 4 or 5 different profiles to make up the finished frame in the customers exact size and design. This combination of profiles is tested to ensure optimum weather, wind and thermal performance.

The uPVC profiles are cut, high quality steel is inserted into them and the corners are fusion welded. Since July 2019 DoubleGlazed are the only company in South Australia to manufacture a fully welded system. This means that every part of the frame is welded so we offer a completely water and airtight frame, no butt joints. This also means that every piece of glass is installed from the inside, improving the security of the product even further.

Once the frames are made they then have rubber seals inserted, hinges, handles and locks added and fly screens made.

The glass for your project will be delivered from our Adelaide supplier directly to site on your chosen installation day to minimise any chance of damage.
